Mitochondrial Rx
Our Mitochondrial Rx line of nutraceuticals were developed by the leading scientist in Mitochondrial Medicine, Dr Michael Kucera. Dr Kucera and his colleague Dr Baevsky were responsible for the health and well being of the cosmonauts in the Russian Space Program, including the Mars 500 Project.
These scientists were called upon to discover ways to protect and preserve the cosmonaut's mitochondria from the intense and harmful cosmic radiation while traveling to Mars. During a 2 year trip to Mars and back, it was estimated that the cosmonauts would age on the average of 10 - 20 years because of intense mitochondria damage.
After more than 15 years of research the scientists came up with the solution, a line of nutraceuticals that is proven through numerous scientific studies to repair and rejuvenate severely damaged mitochondria. There are no other nutraceuticals in the world that have the ability to accomplish this amazing feat.
Furthermore, these supplements demonstrate a significant effect on a body’s regulatory systems. Dr Kucera observed extraordinary positive results on a broad range of health care concerns; heart health, preventative health and improving stress resilience.
Mitochondrial Wellness is proud to be working directly with Dr. Michael Kucera, the leading scientist in Mitochondrial Medicine, who is responsible for developing these space age nutraceuticals. We are excited to be introducing these life-changing formulations to the Western World.

What are Mitochondria?
...and why are they so important?
Mitochondria are known as the powerhouses of the cell. Mitochondria have an enormous impact on every aspect of our health, wellness, and performance.
Each cell in the body can contain mitochondria by the thousands and the number of mitochondria in a cell can depend largely on the function of each cell. For example, heart and brain cells need much more mitochondria to generate energy and have about 6,000 mitochondria per cell.
What is Mitochondrial Medicine?
..and why is it so important?
Mitochondrial medicine has developed within last 30 years. There is increasingly more research being done that suggests that mitochondrial energy production plays a critical role in cell health maintenance. Cell communication, cell regulation and control of cell division are also affected by mitochondrial energy. It should not be surprising that given the fundamental role of the mitochondria in the preservation of normal cell function, compromised mitochondrial function may not be able to support the body's overall health.
